INTERCULTURALS 2015
This is an eye opening event not just to value our own origins but to collaboratively celebrate, enhance and exchange mutual understanding between the communities. As a result we have thrive towards creating a platform for cultural acquisition where we value and respect the cultural diversity within our community.
Today’s event is consolidates our efforts towards language learning, disseminating our traditions and heritage. As seen by the students of Tamil Kalluri and as we portrayed it, we establish different methods of teaching language filled with lots of fun for all ages and interests, such as dance, drama and immersive digital tools. At the present moment though the focus is towards one south Indian language called Tamil, we would very much like to extend and Contribute this trinity towards cultural acquisition through provisioning a platform for all other language learning.
The Interculturals was a grand success thus creating a platform for cultural acquisition where we value and respect the cultural diversity within our community and beyond.
TamilKalluri Annual Day 2015 :
We organise the annual day events to show case Tamil Kalluri students Tamil fluency and their understanding of our deep rooted cultural heritage in form of speech, drama, recitals and dance. We have successfully hosted our third annual day this year on June 2015. The children enthusiastically participate in the dramas which are written and directed by tamilkalluri teaching team and volunteers.
The annual day illustrated a great platform to unite the Tamil speaking community under one roof. Along with our tamil school participants and children from our local community, the event was presided by FETA UK, vice president Dr. Kandasamy Selvan and Mr Jacob Ravibalan, President, world tamil organisation.
Tamil Kalluri, along with each and everyone of you takes immense pride in our culture and proudly celebrates the heritage and roots from various parts of the world. This is something we value and cherish and would like to pass on to our children, grand children and so on. Tamil kalluri cultural event in the past has proved to be a platform for us and our children to celebrate the cultural diversity, rich heritage and common values through music, dance and drama. This great cultural quest led to the birth of the first ” Interculturals” event on 6th July 2014 at the Lubetkin Theatre of the East Durham college, Peterlee. This event paved way not only the essence of our own culture but to collaboratively celebrate, enhance and exchange mutual understanding between the local communities as well.
